This week’s star-studded Memorial Tournament in Ohio certainly offers up a number of interesting possibilities. Masters champion Jordan Spieth is the clear favourite, having come close to victory a couple of time since his Augusta triumph. Five-time Memorial champion Tiger Woods is in the field after a few weeks away, and could spring a surprise or two, though the former World No 1 certainly remains a bit of an unknown quantity at this point in time. Englishman Justin Rose has been knocking on the door in recent weeks, having already triumphed in New Orleans in April, and we haven’t even mentioned Players champion Rickie Fowler, who acquitted himself better than most at last week’s Irish Open. And what about the back-in-action Phil Mickelson, or recent Crowne Plaza
Invitational champion Chris Kirk? With so many tantalising options on offer, and several others in the field capable of springing an upset, it would probably be wise to spread your bets.
Winner: Rickie Fowler
