One of the biggest rivalries in English football resumes when Arsenal head to Old Trafford on Sunday. Arsenal come into the game on the back of a 1-0 loss to Swansea that left Arsene Wenger frustrated and furious at their inability to score. United, on the other hand, beat Crystal Palace 2-1 in their previous fixture to end a three match losing streak, meaning that if anyone has momentum, it’s them. The Gunners won 2-1 when they met in the FA Cup earlier this year; but United were victors in their most recent league encounter, the last time Arsenal lost twice in a row. The Red Devils are still hoping to steal third place from Wenger’s men, but to do so they must win this and hope Arsenal lose their game in hand. As usual, this match-up is too tight to call but Arsenal’s recent form, apart from the Swansea game, has been more impressive than United, which should make them favourites.
